OPEN RECORDS REQUESTS
Morehead-Rowan County Tourism Commission, is a public agency subject to the Kentucky Open Records Act, KRS 61.870–61.884. Under the Kentucky Open Records Act, the right to inspect public records is available to residents of the Commonwealth of Kentucky as defined by KRS 61.870(10). Kentucky law defines “resident of the Commonwealth” to include certain individuals, businesses, and other entities with qualifying connections to Kentucky. Morehead-Rowan County Tourism may request information or documentation reasonably necessary to verify that a requester qualifies as a Kentucky resident under the Act.
Requests should describe the records sought with enough specificity to allow Morehead-Rowan County Tourism to identify and locate responsive records. All requests must be made using this form click here.

Morehead-Rowan County Tourism will respond to Open Records Requests within the time required by the Kentucky Open Records Act. Certain records, or portions of records, may be exempt from disclosure under applicable law. When appropriate, exempt information will be redacted, and nonexempt portions of responsive public records will be made available. If a request is made for a commercial purpose as defined by KRS 61.870, additional requirements, fees, or conditions permitted by Kentucky law may apply.
